Fauna Trails is a MUST when travelling to Sri Lanka. If you have a packed itinerary with a lot of driving, this is necessary! Shan is incredible, kind and generous and loves his country so much. Shan is simply perfect. 5 stars seem not high enough to rate him. You can’t find a better tour guide in the world not just Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country but with Shan as a tour guide the experience gets to a whole different level. I’d definitely come back soon as we need to explore the north of the country as well. Needless to say we will be choosing Shan as our tour guide next time again because not

We came to Sri Lanka for the first time in April this year. We had booked the trip last minute and didn’t really have any idea about the region. On the recommendation of a friend, I got in contact with Shan and asked him if he would be available to take us around. We were so lucky that he was because he was what made our trip spectacular. We had a loose plan of what we wanted to do and with Shan’s help we were able to see everything we wanted and we even managed to see things we had no idea about because of his local knowledge and flexibility. We hadn’t planned anywhere to eat, letting Shan take the lead and we were not disappointed! He even helped us with the order that we wanted to do things suggesting some tweaks to avoid blazing heat and to catch sunsets in gorgeous locations. I really couldn’t recommend him more and I don’t know what we would have done without him. With his help and guidance, we have fallen in love with Sri Lanka.

I would highly recommend Fauna Trails for your Sri Lanka trip. Shan our guide was amazing, he followed our itinerary to a T while making sure we got a taste of the Sri Lankan culture by sharing his excellent knowledge about his home country at every stop. We met Shan as a tour guide and left the trip with him being a life long friend. Fauna Trails is a must when travelling Sri Lanka. Shan is an incredible tour guide / driver who has in depth local knowledge, experience and allows you to discover Sri Lanka’s beauty!!
